Gravity Rush 2’s Online Servers Delayed Till July 19

More time to play!

We reported earlier that Sony Japan was going to close down the servers for Gravity Rush 2 by January 19th. Leaving players in the cold on achieving rare online items. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case (for now) as a special screen has surfaced when players play the game:

The shutdown has been delayed to July 19 14:00 JST (July 19 at 1:00 a.m. ET), according to an in-game notification. Many fans such as Gravity Rush Central have been vocal on keeping the server going. A delay for a few extra months is defiantly in the right step for players. Hopefully Sony will recognize the amount of players using the server and keep it going for a much longer time than just months.
For now players can take a small sigh of relief to grab those rare items.
