A trailer for the Pokémon 2018 movie has been released in Japan, during the Japanese variety show Oha Suta. Fans can expect a trip to memory lane as they will recognize some familiar Pokémon, especially Lugia. While the trailer itself doesn’t show Lugia’s face you do catch a glimpse of him flying away from the camera.

Ash will be accompanied by Lisa, one of the new female characters who’s pictured in the promotion graphic, along with a few others will join Ash’s new adventure. Details of what the movie will be about is unclear but expect to see some action from Lugia.

For those who’ve been following Pokémon closely, earlier this month a February 2018 issue of CoroCoro revealed Lugia as being in the upcoming Pokémon movie. The magazine showcases Lugia in the Pokémon 2000 movie but nothing new regarding new screenshots of the movie.

The movie is slated to release July 13, 2018 in Japan and titled as Pokémon: Everyone’s Story. No word yet on a western date but if we learned anything from the last movie, Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!, we could potentially see the movie in selected theaters, perhaps if not the end of this year, early 2019.

Update February 27, 2018 (10:03 am): New poster and official YouTube trailer added to article.
