Many players have modded the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to play as Sonic, Goku, Woody, Waluigi, and more. While those mods are fun and dandy, nothing can beat having to play as Linkle. Now, you can!
Created by modder lynard killer who goes by Dario Rolle on YouTube and on GameBanana, you can now mod your Breath of the Wild game to play as Linkle. However, the mod is only available for the Wii U. If you don’t mind trying the mod out, you can download it over at the modder’s profile at GameBanana.
For those who are unaware about Linkle, she was first introduced in Hyrule Warriors, available on the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and soon to the Nintendo Switch. Linkle has charmed many Zelda fans to finally having a female version of Link.
Dario has modded Linkle down pretty well with face expressions, voices, unique crossbow, compass, and dyable armor colors. Based on his latest updates, nothing to be added yet but players on the Switch will want this.
For more examples of how the Linkle mod works, YouTube’s BeardBear recording himself playing as Linkle against all the bosses in Breath of the Wild. This gives the game another fresh breath of air if you haven’t already had your fill playing as Link. Having this as an official DLC from Nintendo would certainly have fans throwing more money for this opportunity.
