Nintendo will be holding two special tournaments during the week of e3 2018: Super Smash Bros. Invitational and Splatoon 2 World Championship 2018. We could potentially see some new footage, characters of Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch at e3 June 12-14. Similar to last year’s tournaments with Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Pokkén Tournament DX, Nintendo is looking to showcase their games once again at e3 2018.
To register for the Splatoon 2 World Championship, U.S. and Canada residents can visit the site here to start the process. Last time we saw a Super Smash Bros. Invitational at e3 was 2014. Nintendo invites the fans to join them at e3 or watch online of their matches. Now that it is open to the public to register, Nintendo is utilizing the e3 event to showcase their new Super Smash Bros. title for the Nintendo Switch.
