Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 console exclusive finally gets a release date. Developer Insomniac Games, well known for the Ratchet and Clank series, announces the game will release September 7th this year.
The game was originally announced at e3 in 2016 and was shown quite a bit gameplay footage at last year’s e3. Players will play as Peter Parker, a young man who has spider-like abilities, in an open-world environment where you can swing into action to take on Kingpin and other villains in the game. For those who will be attending e3 this year, you can expect a good chance of a playable demo.
Sony has also revealed the game’s box art, two special edition sets which are detailed below.
