Sega announced yesterday through twitter that a new trailer for Sonic Mania Plus would surface. They weren’t joking as the new trailer has indeed surfaced and showcases quite a few treats for Sonic fans.
As if the elevator wasn’t filled enough with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, new characters Mighty and Roy make their appearance since the classic Sonic the Hedgehog arcade in the 1990s. The trailer showcases not only the new characters but additional features such as 4-player competition mode and new zones.
The game will released both digital and physical format. For those picking up the physical edition will receive a 32 page art book, the game with holographic package, and a reversible cover that resembles the Sega Genesis’s classic package. The game is slated for July 17th this year at $29.99 (USD). For those who only want the extra content (known as the Encore DLC), it’ll cost $4.99 (USD). Sonic Mania Plus will release July 17, 2018. For those who already own the original Sonic Mania can purchase the add-on content. Sonic Mania Plus will release for the PlayStaton 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
