Capcom has officially announced the launch date for Mega Man and you won’t have to wait till the end of the year for it. Mega Man 11 launches on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC come October 2, 2018.

The next Mega Man adventure introduces new features for the blue bomber. “The Double Gear System,” in the trailer shows Mega Man slowing down time and super charging your mega buster, including the special abilities he gains from enemies are enhanced. Mega Man can also unleash hidden energy that combines the two gears power, showcasing a large, destructive energy attack on his foe. Seems like we are getting a mixture of Mega Man X with Mega Man in these enhancements.

About five months ago, the game was announced and no details on a specific launch was mentioned but showed off Mega Man’s 30 year run and a new upgrade in visuals. Now with this new announcement, you can view the latest trailer below and prepare for another Dr. Wily attack this fall. In the meantime, you can pick up the first 1-10 Mega Man games on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

No official date but it looks like there will be a Mega Man 11 amiibo coming out as well based from Japan. Japan will receive a “Collector’s Package” that’ll come with the amiibo figure, a A1 sized fabric poster, keychain, and more all in a collective box. For North America, there’s an exclusive Mega Man 11 collection that isn’t a juicy as what Japan is getting, but it’s something. This collection will include the game, set of 4 stickers, collectible cloth, and the amiibo figure.
