Action Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) Crystar was announced by Furyu in the latest Famitsu magazine. Tokyo based studio Gemdrops, who worked on Lost Sphere and I am Setsuna will be involved with the project along with writer Naoki Hisaya, who is known for visual novel of Kanon.

The game is based on Rei, the protagonist in the game and her sister Mirai are lost in Limbo. While searching for a way out, they are attack by unknown creatures. In the last minute of despair, Rei awakens unusual powers within her, turning Rei into a berserk mode and killing everything and everyone around, including her sister Mirai. To revive her, Rei makes a pact with the devil to bring her sister back to life. Now Rei must fight for her life to save a life, traveling between the living and afterworld.

When it comes to tears, they are actually a positive than a negative. When the tear gauge fills, Rei can no longer suppress her emotions, summoning a powerful guardian to aid you in battle. The game looks promising and hoping a studio will pick this up to localize it. The game is set to release on the PlayStation 4 on October 18th in Japan.
