The next robot master finally has a name for Mega Man 11. Enter, Blast Man a robot who specializes in throwing explosives to his enemies. Similar to how Block Man’s stage utilizes blocks to stop Mega Man from reaching him, Blast Man’s stage is all about, yeah you guess it, explosives, located at a carnival themed stage. Throughout the stage, you’ll catch details of Blast Man’s stage of posters of himself as “Blast Man Adventures.” How cute.

You’ll encounter a mid-boss battle with a group of mini-bots who come at you with a roller coster, however this ride isn’t for show and puts Mega Man in a tight spot to move around. Once defeated, you’ll end up encountering Blast Man himself. His fighting stage’s background will have a destroyed ferris wheel, perhaps Blast Man was responsible for this catastrophe?

While battling, Blast Man will sling explosives toward Mega Man. Once Blast Man is pushed to the limit, he’ll use his Power Gear to throw supersize bombs that make it tougher for Mega Man to dodge. Blast Man’s movements will also become more unpredictable, making the battle more tough.

After winning, you’ll be rewarded with Blast Man’s power called Chain Blast. This will let Mega Man float bombs across the screen. You can also chain multiple bombs and make them explode all together.

As you adventure forth, you’ll collect bolts and you can exchange them for parts at Dr. Light’s lab. If you’ve played previous Mega Man titles, this isn’t something new but a welcome back feature. The Auto-Charge Chip is one of the items you can receive and fans of the series will recognize a lot of these upgrades.

Mega Man 11 will also feature a couple modes, Time Attack and Balloon Attack. Time Attack puts players on a timer to beat the robot level as fast as they can, putting their score on the leaderboard. The Balloon Attack is a new mode for the Mega Man series. In this mode, enemies are replaced with balloons however every red balloon you burst and each blue balloon you miss along the way adds to your timer.
