During the TennoCon 2018, Digital Extremes confirmed that the hit cooperative, sci-fi action game, Warframe will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Panic Button, the same company who handled the port for Rocket League, Doom, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be handling on porting Warframe to the Switch.
Here is the synopsis of the game:
They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.
The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.
Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.
Come Tenno, you must join the war.
Warframe originally launched on the PC back in March 2013, eventually over to the PlayStation 4 on November 2013, and Xbox One about a year later on September 2014. The Nintendo Switch version does not have a launch date but we’ll keep you updated when it comes.
Additional to the news, Digital Extremes announced they’ll be releasing two expansions. One of the expansions, titled Fortuna, will have a brand new open-world called Venus. Giving players additional chances for ship-to-ship tactical battles. The other expansion title Codename: Railjack, giving players a seamless transitions between ground and space battles .
