Indie Fighting Game Indie Pogo is Live

Octodad vs Shovel Knight a dream come true.

While Blade Strangers is coming out later in the summer, there’s another indie fighting game you should jump-in, Indie Pogo. After a successful funding from their Kickstarter campaign during the fall last year, the indie fighting game makes its debut on Steam today.

Developed by the Lowe Bros., a team of three, they’ve made quite an unique title with an impressive amount of crossover characters. Here’s the synopsis about the game from the Kickstarter page:

Indie Pogo is a platform brawler game for 2-4 players about bouncing, ricocheting, and pogoing your friends into oblivion!

It’s sort of like if we replaced the cast of Smash Bros. with 30+ indie fighters and gave them all trampolines to fight on.

Inspired by games like Super Smash Bros, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, and League of Legends, we are developing a competitive & quirky game that is easy to learn, yet difficult to master.

After collaborating with over 50 studios across 15 different countries, we’re striving to create the ultimate indie crossover!

Here’s a sample list of what indie games are involved with the roster and cameos:

  • Downwell
  • Freedom Planet
  • Shovel Knight
  • Bit.Trip
  • Rivals of Aether
  • Nefarious
  • Octodad
  • Awesomenauts

We would love to see Mae and Gregg from Night in the Woods in the game but maybe one day that can happen?

While the game just launched on Steam, Lowe Bros. has mentioned on their Kickstarter that they will pitch the game to Nintendo. Hopefully this will come to the platform so many more people can enjoy this crossover, fighting game. Indie Pogo is available now for PC (Steam).
