Japan’s New Nintendo 2Ds XL (LL) Hylian Shield Edition is Open for Reservations

Japan knows how to make a console look sexier.

North America isn’t the only one getting the Hylian Shield Edition for the Nintendo 2DS. Japan has opened reservations for the special edition handheld and while the product is the same, they know how to make a package.

While the console won’t play other region games, I personally just want it for display. Beautifully made.

The handheld will bundle with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and will release beginning of October for 15,980 yen (approximately $142 USD), excluding tax.
