Resident Evil 2 Remake Gets a Collector’s Edition and Release Date

Welcome back to Raccoon City.

Capcom has announced a few things related to the remake of Resident Evil 2 at San Diego Comic COn (SDCC). First off, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi and his team described to the audience about giving Leon a younger look, giving him a rookie-feel. Next, the team shows off Claire’s final look and on her motorcycle and looks like Harvey-Davison has one of their motorcycles as part of the design.

As for the designs of the city, they wanted to make it feel “sense of wetness, and playing off a fear of the dark.” Since Raccoon City starts off on a rainy day, with puddles and some areas flooded, Hirabayashi feels that they were able to succeed on capturing that sense of dread. With that mindset of the wetness and feat of the dark, that was the idea on making the design and movement of the zombies. Making each zombie encounter as tense as the one before, they may have succeeded from what we saw at E3.

Also was announced was a collector’s edition for the remake, elusively for GameStop and EB Games in North America. This edition will cost $199.99 USD ($239.99 CAD) and will come with the following:
