It’s coming. Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment has announced that that Diablo III will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2018. There’s been quite some clues that this would be happening back in March along with including Forbes spilling the beans yesterday and then taking it down quickly, oops!
Based off of the website, the Diablo III game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, and the Rise of the Necromancer pack are all part of the Eternal Collection: 7 classes, 5 acts, and seasons’ worth of demon-smashing. Also if you pre-order the game, you can get Nintendo-exclusive content such as the Cucco as a companion pet, a Triforce portrait frame, and an exclusive transmogrification set that will let your heroes sport Ganondorf’s iconic armor. You’ll also receive unique cosmetic wings, all for a price of $59.99 USD.
Additionally, you can play up to 4 players on a single Switch console or different Switch units wirelessly without internet connection. You can also team up with others online, once the Nintendo Switch Online service is live.
Nintendo of America released a special announcement via Twitter on the game coming to the Switch, which can be viewed below. You can also watch the official trailer below and prepare for battle later this year.
