Before Celeste there was TowerFall. Many may have never played the game since it was originally released on the Ouya in June 2013, then later on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC (Steam). During today’s Nintendo’s Nindies Showcase, TowerFall for Nintendo Switch announced along with extra content. Here’s what Nintendo Switch players will get when the game releases on September 27th:

  • Madeline and Badeline from Celeste are playable characters
  • 6-player Versus mode
  • Two sets of levels in Versus mode
    • 4:3 resolution levels
    • expanded widescreen levels
  • New variants
    • Reaper Chalice
    • Keep Your Arrows
    • Pass Through Team
    • No Hypers
