UPDATE: September 6 at 4:30am ET

Nintendo has announced that today’s direct has been postponed due to the earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan. No new schedule has been announced yet. We hope everyone is safe after the powerful quake incident.

We haven’t seen an actual Nintendo Direct for quite some time and now is better than ever. With the Nintendo Online coming out of the woodwork this month, details need more explanation on how this service will work. There’s a few 1st party games coming out this year and what better time to explain about them in this new direct.

We’ll most likely see more info regarding Super Mario Party and the GameCube port of Luigi’s Mansion but what else? A Nintendo Switch 6.0 version is coming in soon, giving players the option to play the NES and SNES controllers. This feature is more likely because of the option to play these games through the Nintendo Online service. Could more Wii U ports be revealed tomorrow? Xenoblade Chronicles X, Super Mario Maker, or how about Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE? Probably won’t happen but we can wish for them. Would more Super Smash Bros Ultimate news arise, new characters?

What would you like to see announced tomorrow? The broadcast will last about 35 minutes and will begin at 6pm ET (3pm PT) in North America. 11 pm (UK time). 7am on September 7th in Japan.
