2019 seems to be the year to make video game animals into 3D figures. With Detective Pikachu releasing in theaters on May 10, Sonic the Hedgehog will spin into action come November 8. The official Sonic movie poster of the blue hedgehog has been revealed. While we can’t see what Sonic will actually look like, Sonic seems pretty buff and those sneakers look like they were picked up from a nearby Foot Locker retail.
Ben Schwartz, voices Dewey in the current Ducktales television series, is lending his voice for Sonic the Hedgehog. Jim Carrey is also to play role as Dr. Robotnik but not much details since June. Take a look at the animated introduction of the poster from IGN:
Note that the poster strongly states the producer of the film also worked on The Fast and the Furious. Yay? Can we expect Team Sonic Racing involved in the movie too?
