Disney Plus launch date has finally been revealed along with a price tag. Starting November 12th of this year, people can start watching Disney’s first attempt at streaming service. With the giant corporation holds along with the Fox shows Disney bought, Disney Plus (Disney+) is looking strong.
The streaming service will start at $6.99 per month or annually $69.99 (that’s $5.83 per month). Less than Netflix’s monthly fee since Disney has already stated it would be cheaper because of less content. Overtime, more content will grow Disney+’s library and from there, we’ll see how much more people will be paying. There’s a lot of potential Disney+ can do. Bringing in older televisions, such as the animated Gummy Bears and reports saying that a new series based on the classic movie, the Sandlot is in early development. What does this mean for Netflix? Well, Disney still has a contract with them to run Disney films (including Marvel, Star Wars) until the end of 2019. As for Pixar films, they will all be available on Disney+ by the end of 2020. Additional Marvel films will make their way to the streaming service, fans will have to be patient a little longer. Additionally, Disney may “likely” have discounted prices for those who have ESPN+ and Hulu services. More details to come.
