The 22nd Pokemon film, Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution new trailer surfaces days before it opens on July 12th in Japan. This is the first time the series is getting a movie that’s done in a computer-generated imagery (CGI). Quite different. The movie is a re-telling the 1998 movie of the first Pokémon movie, Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back. Though this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Mewtwo in CGI.
If you happened to be at this year’s Anime Expo, a special screening will be held July 4th, 2019. Screening takes place at 3:30 PM – 5:45 PM in the LACC / Main Events (Hall B). Additionally, directors Kunihiko Yuyama and Motonori Sakakibara will be at the convention. Voice actress/singer Rica Matsumoto (Ash Ketchum) will also be there. Autographs to commence some time during the convention.
