Studio TRIGGER and WayForward are collaborating on Shantae 5‘s opening animation. Studio TRIGGER well known for working on Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia. They have also worked on Indivisible’s opening animation, this is not new territory for the animation company. While the game is still in production, WayForward and Studio TRIGGER shown off a couple illustrations of Shantae and Risky Boots.
UPDATE (7/5/19): In addition, the animated opening is now available to view below. Shantae 5 will release late 2019 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Apple Arcade.
