Cuphead has sold over four million copies worldwide on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The indie game has become quite popular with its 1930s cartoon style and doesn’t look to slow down. Announced by Studio MDHR (creators of Cuphead), Netflix will be adding the Cuphead Show! to its animated library. The series would expand the world of the game and its characters. Netflix has been adding more video game series to its library; Castlevania and The Witcher are a couple examples.
The series handled by Netflix animation team and produced by Netflix and King Features Syndicate. King Features holds the license for classic animations such as Popeye, Betty Boop, Garfield and Archie. No release date is set for the Cuphead Show! or how many episodes will launch on Netflix.
