It’s going to be really crazy in Japan this summer. The summer Olympics kicks off this year on July 24th in Tokyo and Universal Studios’s Super Nintendo World in Osaka opens. There’s been a lot of rumors spreading what would be involve, such as a Zelda and a Mario Kart theme section. However, what do we know that there’s special Super Nintendo World theme park wristbands called “Power Up Band”. These bands will sync to your smartphone app that’ll track your activities in the park and collect virtual coins. Thanks to Kurumi Mori, a Bloomberg reporter from Tokyo, was at the press event regarding the theme park. Here’s what was found out regarding the “Power Up Bands”:
The wristbands do appear to give more appeal and usage than the Disney’s Park Pass wristbands. You’ll have choices between Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, and Yoshi for your Super Nintendo World Theme Park wristbands. Wonder when a Bowser-theme wristband will appear. To complement the usage of the wristbands and its function for the theme park, there’s a collaboration music video. Univseral Studios Japan’s Super Nintendo World opens up in Osaka this summer. Hollywood, Orlando and Singapore will follow after.
