Azur Lane is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up video game that became wildly popular in China and Japan when first introduced in 2017 for both countries. The mobile game hit five million players within its first four months. So popular, an anime series is currently running in Japan, also available to stream on Funimation and on Hulu. Take it to new heights, the game will receive a boost in graphics and gameplay for the PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam) called Azur Lane Crosswave. Azur Lane Crosswave is a 3D action shooter that’ll launch both digitally and physically in North America and Europe in February 2020. The game uses Unreal Engine and recreates the beloved Azur Lane character designs in the style of cel-shaded 3D graphics. Those who are looking for a physical limited edition, you’re in luck. Pre-orders on their online store are open and selling for $99.99 USD. Europe customers can also pre-order now. Customers ordering the PC (Steam) version will receive a code to download the game with their package. Whereas PlayStation 4 customers will receive the physical game.
