NieR Automata one of the most popular games in the last decade and has received a special event, a NieR:Orchestra Concert in Tokyo 2018. The concert sold out for all four performances in Japan and finally making its way to the United States, United Kingdom, and Thailand this year. The NieR:Orchestra Concert makes its first stop in Chicago and Los Angeles in January 2020. Afterwards, the event travels outside the United States to London and Thailand. Dates for each city are located below and on the official concert website.

Originally, Chicago had only one performance dated on January 24th but sold out quickly. Because of high-demand, an additional showing opened up the following day, January 25th. Seats are still available and those who are fairly close to the city or willing to travel should jump on the opportunity.

For those who have attended other video game-themed symphony concerts such as the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess and Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy already know what they are getting into for the NieR:Orchestra Concert for 2020. A large screen projecting high-definition video game footage of NieR Automata above over 100 musicians on stage, with Arnie Roth conducting.

Arnie Roth, who conducted Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy, will be conducting another Square Enix title. With Mr. Roth playing at his hometown of Chicago, expect some excitement from him at the Chicago event. Emi Evans will make her appearance on stage with her vocal tracks from the video game. Additional special guest such as the game’s original composer, Keiichi Okabe will make an appearance on stage. NieR Automata‘s director, Taro Yoko also be attending the performance in his seat. Those who have purchased VIP tickets will get a chance to meet these special guests in-person.

  • January 25th (Saturday) at 8pm – Chicago (tickets available)
  • January 29th (Wednesday) at 8pm – Los Angeles (tickets available)
  • February 2nd (Sunday) at 3pm – London (sold out)
  • February 2nd (Sunday) at 8pm – London (sold out)
  • February 15th (Saturday) at 4pm – Bangkok, Thailand (tickets available)
  • February 16th (Sunday) at 4pm – Bangkok, Thailand (tickets available)
