Nintendo announced its last upgrade to Super Mario Maker 2 and it’s a hefty one that includes the World Maker. In fact, Super Mario Maker 2 World Maker feels like a complete Mario game. With World Maker, players can set their maps that resemble Super Mario World. You can decorate the map with iconic looks such as the hills with eyes, trees and stone hedges. With each spot, you can set your customized course and change the icons to match their course. Additionally, you can add tunnels to warp you to other areas of the map.
Next biggest update is adding elements from Super Mario Bros 2 (Super Mario USA). New styled mushroom turns your character into a Super Mario Bros 2 character with new styled gameplay. Like the original NES game, you can pick up enemies, throw them and even the dangerous Phanto will attack if you grab the key. Ah sweet memories. That’s not the only power-up the game is receiving, Super Mario Bros 3‘s frog suit makes a return along with Super Mario World‘s power balloon. Additional power-ups also coming and are demonstrated in the latest Super Mario Maker 2 video below.
Koopalings are making their debut in the latest update to help make your custom courses more challenging. Mechakoopas are coming with its own power-ups that can cause some hectic battles or can help. Demonstrations on their new powers in the latest video. Do note that lot of these updates are restricted to specific game styles.
