Detroit Lions Uses Animal Crossing to Help Reveal Their 2020 Season

A DIY for creativity.

NFL teams has revealed their football schedules for 2020. However, some teams put a little extra time on their announcements in a fashionable way for their fans. The Detroit Lions did something creative this year by using the hottest game released, Animal Crossing New Horizons to help showcase their football schedule. Using the game’s mechanics, the creative team were able to utilize ways to represent each week. For example, a giant teddy bear to resemble the Chicago Bears. Redd’s eat-up boat as the Minnesota Vikings and a seahorse representing the Indianapolis Colts.

Yes some parts were manually added such as the Green Bay Packers helmet on Tom Nook’s workbench. However, have to give credit to the creative team using the game at the right time. The game has never been so popular as yesterday Nintendo announced the game has sold 11.77 million in just 11 days (March 20 – March 31). Wow!

As a bonus, the official Detroit Lions account gave custom design codes for anyone wanting to wear Lions gear that was used in the presentation. That’s nice.
