While the PlayStation 5 is releasing this holiday, the PlayStation 4 still has some interesting games yet to come. One of them is 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim release date finally revealed for western countries, releasing September 22nd. Additionally the game will receive a day-one patch for English voiceovers. The tactical role-playing game (RPG) is Vanillaware’s eighth game and Atlus stepping in to help bring the game overseas. Vanillaware well known for its unique art styled games, such as Odin Sphere and Dragon’s Crown.
Like its previous games, Vanillaware’s latest game features beautiful artwork and environments in a 2D side-scrolling adventure. In 13 Sentinels, 13 protagonists fight the kaiju in a top-down combat. Players can customize their Sentinels (giant robots) to help defend humanity. The RPG received positive feedback from Yoko Taro (NieR: Automata) and Masahiro Sakurai (Super Smash Bros Ultimate).
Players can pre-order the game to receive the launch edition for $59.99 (USD). This edition comes with a bonus artbook.
