Pokemon Presents Reveals Pokemon Unite

First strategic game for the Pokemon series.

Coming off from last week’s Pokemon Presents presentation, a new Pokemon Presents was broadcast Wednesday morning of June 24th. Many wonder if this would be a new Pokemon Let’s GO game or something bigger. Pokemon Unite revealed and showcased its gameplay for the entire presentation. While not exactly what fans expected, it’s the first in the Pokemon series to have a strategic team battle game. A potential for it played in future tournaments.

The strategic game currently in development by The Pokémon Company and Tencent Games’ TiMi Studios. Releasing for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Additionally, the game will let players cross-play between devices and up to 5 players per team, making it 5-on-5 team battles. While playing, players will work together to catch wild Pokémon, level up and evolve their own Pokémon, and defeat opponents’ Pokémon while trying to earn more points than the opposing team within the allotted time.

Gameplay footage available in the Pokemon Presents video.
