After a delay due to COVID-19, Ninjala available now to gamers. The game’s launch for a summer title and during the pandemic couldn’t come at a better time. Switch players can play the game brawl with other players online for free. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required to play Ninjala. The free to play game features two multiplayer modes including an eight-player arena battle and a 4v4 team battle. Single-player training mode also available. With the launch and the hype carried with the game, online battles have been seeing some hiccups. While frustrating at first, this is not something new with new games and updates will be made.
Before you start and attend the World Ninja Association’s (WNA) ultimate ninja tournament, Ninjala, players will choose a ninja kid to customize. Each Ninjala uses super-powered Ninja-Gum to battle against their foes. By chewing them and blowing bubbles, players can target their foes, craft weapons and fly across the battlefield. If you’ve been missing out on the Splatoon events, Ninjala could be your alternate summer game to play with others.
Ninjala makes you ponder on its free to play. The catch? Giving players to play multiplayer modes for free and paying for the game’s storyline and content to subsidize the cost. The first chapter of the story mode available to play but not free. Retailed for $9.99 USD but is currently on sale for $4.59 USD. Each chapter dives into each Ninjala character and more to come out in the near future. Additionally, Ninjala will carry seasonal DLC packs for purchasing. These would include the game’s currency, masks, stickers, etc. Question is, will players jump into paying character storylines and DLC item packs or stick with the free goods only? If you’re looking to upgrade your weapons prepare to cash up, just like mobile games and their micro transactions.
Celebrating the game’s launch, Japanese pop sensation Kyary Pamyu Pamyu collaborated with celebrated American musician and producer, Steve Aoki. The two join together to remix Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s hit song Ninja Re Bang Bang, available now to purchase or stream. A music video available to watch.
The official game website opened to the public. Ninjala available on the Nintendo eShop.
