Announced today, NIS America informed players that selected Danganronpa games will soon be removed on the PlayStation Store. As for the reason, this could very well be around the game’s licensing expiring for NIS America. On Steam, the games that are being removed from the PlayStation Store are currently distributed by Spike Chunsoft, such as the trio pack. There’s still hope that the games could make a return to the PlayStation Store (possibly the Nintendo Switch) if Spike Chunsoft is holding onto the license for the franchise.

For now, here are the games and removal dates for both on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita:

  • Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girl (PS Vita)
    August 31, 2020.
  • Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (PS Vita)
    September 4, 2020
  • Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PS Vita)
    September 4, 2020
  • Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (PS Vita)
    September 25, 2020
  • Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony (PS4)
    September 25, 2020

With this announcement, this gives more of a reason to own physical editions than digital. A physical trilogy pack was released in early 2019 but difficult to find. Players have till end of September to grab a few of these games. Otherwise you can grab them on Steam.
