Balan Wonderworld announced by Square Enix is a new 3D action-platformer game from the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog. The platformer will land on current and next generation consoles and PC in spring 2021. Players will take the role of Leo and Emma in an adventure that feels like a dream (pun attended). Lead by a mysterious maestro named Balan, you’ll navigate through Wonderworld to restore happiness and balance. Over 80 costumes to unlock special skills to help drive through levels. The costumes not only grant powers but can change Leo and Emma’s appearances.

Working on the game includes director, Yuji Naka (Sonic the Hedgehog franchise creator, Team Sonic Co-Founder). Additionally, character designer Naoto Ohshima (Sonic the Hedgehog, Doctor Eggman, Team Sonic Co-Founder) also joining the team. The game marks the first collaboration between Yuji and Naoto in 20 years and the first game from the newly established Balan Company gaming brand. It may not be a sequel to the classic Sega Saturn game Dream but the game does have some hype to it.

Balan Wonderworld announced to release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X with support for Smart Delivery, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) in spring 2021. The official website open to the public.
