Earthlock at last getting a sequel. Earthlock 2 announced to release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game in development by Snowcastle, running entirely on Unreal Engine. While the orignal Earthlock game played homage to the 1990s Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) style, the sequel takes a different approach. Earthlock 2 looks to be in an open-world action RPG with some “complex interlocking systems that work together to offer players extensive freedom to customize their own experience”.
Bendik Stang, Game Director & Co-founder of Snowcastle Games had the following to say about the sequel’s announcement:
We are so pleased to finally offer up this first tease of what players can come to expect in Earthlock 2. We really want our next title to offer players a huge amount of replayability, customisation and depth, with incredible emergent gameplay possibilities.
