Demon Slayer Movie Trailer Confirms a 2021 Release

Hop aboard for a demon fight.

After its first successful season in 2019 of 26 episodes, Demon Slayer plans to return for a second season along with a new movie, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train and a video game for the PlayStation 4. The movie scheduled to release in Japan theaters on October 16, 2020, based on the newest Japanese trailer. The latest Demon Slayer movie trailer confirms a 2021 release in North America theaters.

With the COVID-19 still causing issues with theaters to re-open, a specific date won’t be announced for awhile. Fans of the series already waiting for new animated material of Demon Slayer may have to wait a little longer unless the pandemic calms down or a confirmed season 2 release date. Other anime films such as Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna originally scheduled to release in North America theaters in March. Instead the film was cancelled in theaters and releasing for digital and Blu-Ray this fall.
