Since its reveal back in June and Xbox’s next generation console price and reveal date, Sony has been very quiet on additional details regarding the console’s pricing and launch date. Wednesday afternoon, Sony held a PlayStation 5 event to give those details. Along with the important reveal came new gameplay footage for upcoming PlayStation 5 games and new announcements.

The PlayStation 5 will release on November 12th for North America, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea. Everywhere else, November 19th. Regards on pricing, the digital only console selling for $399 USD. Those who want the console with the disc drive, it’ll sell for $499 USD. With the Xbox Series X going for $499 USD, it’ll make an interesting match-up for those who want it all. Digitally, the Xbox Series S going for $299 USD makes it a sweeter deal when compared to the PlayStation 5’s Digital Edition. However, the PlayStation 5’s Digital Version still keeps its 825GB SSD, whereas the Xbox Series S downgrades to 512GB SSD. Wouldn’t you want as much storage available for your digital version? Costumers will end up eating that difference between the consoles for a larger drive.
