With Super Mario Bros. 35 and the Super Mario Bros. 35th anniversary closed its doors on April 1, 2021, a new retro battle royal game becomes available. Pac-Man 99 arrives on the Nintendo Switch today, April 7th. Bandai Namco reveals players will compete against other 98 chomping Pac-Mans until one remains. To make things tougher, players can chomp down Power Pellets to take out ghosts and send Jammer Pac-Man to opponents’ mazes. The more ghosts you eat, the more Jammers you’ll send to your opponents. The game is free for subscribers. However, players can purchase downloadable custom themes based on Xevious, GALAGA, Dig Dug, and more. The Pac-Man 99 downloadable content (DLC) bundle can be purchased for $29.99 USD and the classic character skins can be purchased individually for $1.99 USD through the Nintendo eShop.
