Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water announced during Nintendo’s E3 presentation is getting updated to come to not only the Nintendo Switch but also to modern consoles and PC in 2021. The latest game of the horror series originally came out in 2014 on Wii U. However the game will receive remastered visuals, new costumes and photo mode features.

About Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

Taking players to the eerie Mt. Hikami, a sacred location haunted by bizarre and unfortunate occurrences – and a place where the water is believed to be housed by vengeful spirits. Through the eyes of Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki, they will rely on just a flashlight and a unique camera – the Camera Obscura – with the ability to take pictures of ghosts, as they explore the mountain to find those who have disappeared. Will players be able to repel the deadly ghosts and uncover the mysteries surrounding Mt. Hikami?

Another Wii U title ported over, perhaps additional games from the forgotten console make a jump to today’s consoles soon? Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water announced to release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) in 2021. Players can import a physical copy from Play Asia for importing either (or both) the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 version.
