Demon Slayer Video Game Release Date Set for Worldwide in October

Hone your demon killing skills this fall.

The Demon Slayer video game, officially titled as Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, releasing worldwide on October 15, 2021. The fighting game slated to release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game will feature the original English and Japanese casts of the anime and will have a story mode based on the animated series.

Pre-orders are open on the official website and giving three options to players: physical standard ($59.99 USD), digital standard ($59.99 USD), and digital deluxe ($69.99 USD). Ordering the digital deluxe will get you more than just the game and one character unlock key. Additional avatars, costumes, game currency, and early access to the game 2 days early. The digital versions are not open just yet for pre-order. Expect to open on on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam soon. The physical standard edition looks to be the weakest of the set. However it’s the only option for those looking to have the official disc version.

Demon Slayer grew its popularity very quickly since its anime debut in 2019. In 2020, the series debuted its first film and became the highest grossing film in Japan in 2020 and one of the highest anime films debuted in North America’s theaters. There’s no slowing down this hot anime series. A season 2 anime coming this year, details to come this summer when exactly and video game announced last year.
