Just in time for Halloween, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water release date set for consoles and pc on October 28th. The Wii U port will have enhanced graphics, brand-new photo mode, and costumes.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water - Outfits

These new costumes and accessories include: Yuri’s ‘Punk Ensemble’, ‘Cutesy Goth Ensemble (Black)’, ‘Swimsuit (Blue)’, and the ‘Triathlon Suit’ as well as Miu’s ‘Miku Hinasaki Outfit (The Tormented)’, ‘Cutesy Goth Ensemble (White)’, ‘Swimsuit (Yellow)’, and ‘Swimsuit (Pink)’, along with Ren’s ‘Groom’s Outfit’. Additionally, fans can download the Ryza outfit and Ryza hat for free when the game launches on October 28th. However, it’s only available for two weeks, it’s wise to download the content regardless if you pick up the game on launch day or not.

When the game launched on the Wii U out west, the game received some censorship such as the skimpy bikini outfit that Nintendo took out and replaced with Zelda and the Zero Suit Samus outfits. Don’t hold your breath for these outfits to make a return. We reached out to Koei Tecmo regarding if any censorship will continue in the re-release of Fatal Frame and any updated posted here.

Additional digital versions available that’ll include costumes and other DLC, such as the Fatal Frame 20th Anniversary Celebration DLC. That’s a lot of content. However based on the history of Koei Tecmo’s DLC pricing, this game will add up quickly over $100 USD. If you’re looking for a physical edition, you’re not out of luck yet. Players can import from Play Asia for importing either (or both) the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 version.
