A blast from the past is making a return. Celebrating 25 years of the series, Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX announced for the Nintendo Switch, PC and App Store. The collection includes featured content that was never released in the original western release such as the following: save slots, Freeze slots, and Monster Hall of Frame slots. Additionally the collection will add new features such as rankings for random battles, high-speed mode to play the game faster, and a memo feature to use while raising monsters.
In the original physical CDs, the Monster Rancher series used a unique ID per CD that would spawn different monsters. In the DX collection, the feature was reworked to allow players to search a database to find their desired CD and generate a monster its data.
Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX launches December 9, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), and Apple’s App Store. Fans can visit the official website for additional info.
