With the success of Octopath Traveler, Square Enix looks to keep the momentum going with Triangle Strategy, a tactical strategy RPG. Back in February 2021, a demo made available and approximately 1 million times globally as of September 2021. Approximately 25,000 survey responses between February 22 and March 21, 2021. After the responses, the development team made some adjustments to improve the game: such as: loading times, events, battle difficulty, battle operation (camera controls, user interface).

The HD-2D strategy game revealed its newest trailer in the Nintendo Direct and its release date. Triangle Strategy releases for the Nintendo Switch on March 4, 2022. Players can still download the demo to experience the game before it releases in 2022. A Japanese teaser website available to view.
