My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission opening weekend made some waves. The third film of the popular anime series brought in $6,403,286 USD in a limited 1,581 theaters. It came in 4th in its opening weekend. Still, that’s quite good compared to its last film’s release in 2020. My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising made $5,891,252 on its opening weekend at the same amount of theaters. Its first animated film in 2018, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, brought in $1,388,499 in 508 theaters. You can expect World Heroes’ Mission to be the top in its total gross when it leaves theaters.
Tickets for the film are still available to purchase here. Showing support of the film has shown to bring in more anime titles to the big screen. Dragon Ball Super: Broly film and Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film are examples.
