Crunchyroll Gains Funimation’s Anime Library Starting Today

80% of content moved by end of March 2022.

Since Sony’s purchase of Crunchyroll, anime fans have questioned how Sony will handle running both Funimation and Crunchyroll. Today, an official announcement made that’ll power-up one of those streaming platforms to the next stage. Shows like Dragon Ball Z, The World Ends With You the AnimationHellsing, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Additionally, Funimation’s dubbed versions for many anime series will also come to Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll stated that the upcoming spring anime will stream exclusively stream on Crunchyroll going forward. 80% of the Funimation and Wakanim, French anime streaming service, anime will be available on Crunchyroll by the end of March 2022.

Pricing for Crunchyroll will remain the same, though it’s questionable for how long, but at least not paying for two subscriptions. Crunchyroll’s standard streaming service starts at $7.99 per month. Mega Fan at $9.99/month. Ultimate Fan at $14.99/month. The Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan provide swag discounts to the Crunchyroll online store, consecutive streaming increase and offline viewing. New Crunchyroll subscribers will receive 60 days of premium for free. Additional details available on the official website.
