Disgaea 6 first launched on the Nintendo Switch early summer of 2021 as a timed exclusive in the western countries. The game introduced 3D models the first time and was delivered well enough on its first time. However, it ran into some performance hiccups. Our review can help explain. Like the previous Disgaea games, a “complete” version eventually comes out. Which includes extra content and downloadable content (DLC). This is no different as Disgaea 6 Complete announced for the PlayStation 5 (PS5), PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC. This is also the first time that the Switch won’t receive this special version whereas in the past, it did.
Originally, Disgaea 6 released in Japan for the PlayStation console, never outside the country. Fans of the Disgaea series that once played exclusively on the PlayStation consoles won’t have to wait too much longer as the game releases summer 2022. Disgaea 6 Complete becomes the first of the series to release on the PS5 console. Hopefully the performance issues on the Switch version is fixed.
Pre-orders for the game’s limited edition for both the PS5 and PS4 available now on NIS America’s online store and Europe’s store. The deluxe edition available at retail stores such as Best Buy. Whichever version you plan on picking up, the cost is the same between the PS5 and PS4 versions.
