Last year, the next installment for Azure Striker was revealed during 2020’s NGPX online event. Today, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 release date finally announced and it’s heading for the Nintendo Switch on July 28, 2022. The game listed to sell on the Nintendo eShop for $29.99 USD. A physical edition release will be handled by Limited Run Games. A new trailer revealed, showcasing more gameplay and a closer look at the game’s new protagonist, Kirin. She’s skilled with a blade and weakens enemies with talismans. Her “Arc Chain” ability is her powerful move that’ll take down her foes quickly. The trailer reveals a new feature called “Image Pulse”. Allowing players to summon comrades and rivals from Gunvolt‘s past to attack, grant abilities, and more.

The Gunvolt series first began as a digital-exclusive on the Nintendo 3DS in 2014. Two years later, the sequel, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 released. Six years later, the third installment, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 picks up where the predecessor left off. Fans can visit the game’s official website for additional information.
