The ESA confirmed today that E3 2022 digital event officially cancelled. Making E3 2022 officially off the table both in-person and digital, second time since the global pandemic hit in 2020. It’s an unfortunate situation as last year’s digital-only event was mediocre at best. Instead, the ESA will instead focus next year for a physical and digital E3 experience in summer of 2023. With Anime Expo opening to the public this year and using the same location as E3, we’re not surprised E3 will try in-person in 2023.

Till next year, gamer live events will continue to be held by publishers and other parties.
