One of Vanillaware’s early games, GrimGrimoire is coming back as a remastered version for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 (PS4). The game first released on the PlayStation 2 in 2007. The remastered version, titled GrimGrimoire OnceMore, will upgrade its visuals to today’s standard resolution and ratio for the Switch and PS4. This side-scrolling real-time strategy 2D game will have a new, easier gameplay mode for those new to the series. The game’s beautiful designs still holds up and still gorgeous. Having the game remastered for today’s consoles is welcoming to say at least. Those who’ve played other Vanillaware titles, such as Dragon’s Crown (which we recommend playing) should take a look at this one.
