Final Fantasy VI, one of the best role-playing games (RPGs) on the Super Nintendo deserves some attention. While Final Fantasy VII continues to ride the wave of popularity, it’s time for another RPG to have some attention. Look no further than this Final Fantasy VI Terra statue. Beautiful. Exquisite. However, this one comes at an insanely high cost that may require fans to take out a personal loan. Retailing just under $14,000 USD. That’s the correct amount of zeros but you have till November 2023 to save your allowance. This is much more expensive than the impressive NieR Automata statues.
Even Final Fantasy‘s creator Hironobu Sakaguchi shocked at the price tag. Questioning the cost and what is Square Enix’s thinking process.
High Quality, Limited Amount
The Terra statue based off of Yoshitaka Amano’s original artwork of Terra riding a Magitek armor along with a few Moogles hanging out. The design is quite detailed and follows the original design close but it’s really hard to swallow that price. Only 600 of these statues will be made, 150 of them exclusive to Japan, according to Square Enix’s Official Goods. Each one of these 1/6 scale statue handcrafted hand painted. That’s a lot of work for leading Japanese statue maker, Prime 1 Studio.
Additionally, this 1/6 scale sculpture come in at 78 centimeters tall (30.7 inches). That’ll require some dedicated space in your room for this expensive statue. Better add insurance for this pricey piece of art. The statue itself made of polystone, PVC, ABS, die-cast. Terra, who’s riding the mechanical device, is changeable. Giving owners the customization to alternate her upper body part, allowing for variety of expressions. Moogles, one of Final Fantasy‘s memorable mascots, are included in this masterpiece. You can find three of them across the statue. The Final Fantasy VI logo plate also crafted beautifully, presenting the statue from a distance.
