With the new theater release for Japan on June 11th, a worldwide release still in questioned… not no more. Crunchyroll announces the next Dragon Ball film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will receive a summer worldwide release, theaters only. This includes the following countries: North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. This is also Crunchyroll’s first globally-distributed theatrical release for the anime company and is distributed in North America by Crunchyroll. Internationally, disturbed by both Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment. There’ll be two ways to watch the film in North America: original Japanese with English subtitles and English dubbed.
While no exact date revealed, the theater release set to begin in August. If Toei Animation wasn’t hacked back in spring, perhaps an early summer release could happen. At the very least, Super Hero is coming to theaters this summer. While the announcement brought out a new trailer, there’s nothing new Dragon Ball fans haven’t seen except the translated title slides and subtitles. For more information regards to theater release times, fans can visit the official Crunchyroll movie night website for upcoming times when available.
