Rune Factory 5‘s Earthmate Edition is a welcoming package that collector’s will enjoy. Even if you own a digital copy of the game, it’s still a worthy collection to have on hand, especially for Rune Factory fans. Those interested can still purchase it, while supplies last, through XSEED’s official website or at a local retail such as Best Buy.

Rune Factory 5: Earthmate Edition - Inside Goodies

A Worthy Steelcase and More

It’s a relatively small package that comes with a few nice goodies inside. While very similar to Rune Factory 4‘s Special Archival Edition, this edition has more such as the steelcase book. If you happen to own Rune Factory 4‘s limited edition set, the Earthmate Edition will sit nicely next to it for displaying. In fact, the front layout are very similar to both games. The package are contained in a clean, illustrated design by Minako Iwasaki with holographic colors on the front. Inside, collectors can expect a steelbook case, illustration book, and a selected soundtrack. All fitting snugly inside.

Rune Factory 5: Earthmate Edition - Steelcase and Booklet

Those looking to increase their Nintendo Switch steelcase collection will enjoy the design on this one. This is one of the few steelcase books that actually have the game’s title printed on the spine. The case’s illustration pops out on the silver case on the front with the back just the logo. It’s of the best designed cases. Inside are a couple items: physical Switch game and an “Official SEED Ranger Handbook”, a small 29 page booklet that fits comfortably inside the case.

Rune Factory 5: Earthmate Edition - Soundtrack (Front & Inside)

The softcover illustration artbook sized at 5.8″ x 8.2″ holds 73 pages of character illustrations, concept art, and more. The booklet’s cover has a special illustration that can come off, revealing Wooly, the game’s monster mascot. The selected soundtrack comes in a folded, cardboard case. The CD features 15 songs selected from the entire Rune Factory series. Ideally the soundtrack could have focused more on Rune Factory 5 since customers are paying items based on the game itself. The design for the cardboard case showcases Fuuka, one of the characters you can marry in the game. On the back is an illustration of one of the farm dragons in flight. The CD is decorative with flowers, vines wrapping around the circular disc.

Overall, Rune Factory 5‘s Earthmate Edition is a solid, small package that’s worth picking up for RPG and Rune Factory fans. Players can read our review for more info.
