Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars Limited Edition is a delightful package that can’t fit everything in one box. While it covers characters from both the Neptunia and Senran Kagura series, this set feels more suited for Neptunia fans. Regardless, fans shouldn’t pass up on this set for their Nintendo Switch game collection. The limited edition also available for Steam (PC) players but not available for the PlayStation 4. The set only available on Idea Factory International’s store website for $99.99 USD.

Neptunia x SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars Limited Edition with Bonus Card

Almost Everything Fits Inside

The box itself designed all around with the top showcasing Neptunia characters and the back for Senran Kagura. Sized at 7″ x 8.5″ x 1.8″, it’s a great to display but difficult to showcase both sides at the same time. You’ll have to pick up a motorized rotating display stand to get the best of both worlds. The box opens one-way and doesn’t disconnect. The box’s front lip design resembles the back of a regular envelope, a triangular styled trim, making it easier to place your thumbs and open the box. Inside, you’ll find these items: steelcase, soundtrack, and art book. The scroll and original Switch case with game cartridge are not packaged inside, instead packaged outside the collector’s box. There’s two levels of packaging to fit these three items and fit snuggly so they don’t become loose inside.

The game’s original soundtrack consist of 26 tracks on one CD. The case’s insert doesn’t have anything more than just a front and back illustration. If you were expecting a few pages of content and illustration, it’s not here but instead in the hardcover art book. The art book itself is 6.3″ x 8.1″ with 50 pages of illustrations and design concepts. The art book’s hard cover is pretty slick with illustrations on front and back. There’s no sleeve on this book.

A Set Fit for Physical Edition Lovers

The Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars Limited Edition comes with the original, physical edition Nintendo Switch case and the steelcase. Giving players the option to display both case designs. Those wondering, yes it does come with the game cartridge. The steelbook feels and is thicker than any other steelbooks available for the Nintendo Switch. Thinner like Rune Factory 5‘s Earthmate Edition. While it’s not a bad thing, it’ll look different when stacking up next to the other steelbooks you already own. One of the positive points on the steelbook is the game’s title is labeled on the spine, one of the biggest must-haves with game cases. It’s a head scratcher that the Smash Bros. Ultimate and Xenoblade 2‘s steelbook doesn’t have this.

Calligraphy Styled Scroll

The item that stands out from many other limited editions is the scroll. Sized at 9.7″ x 19.7″, this ukiyo-e inspired wall scroll portrays Purple Heart battling a group of vicious dogoos. The dogoos in this illustration look much more fierce compared to the slime-looking design in the game. It’s a unique scroll you’ll want to hang up. If you’re more of a Senran Kagura fan, unfortunately there’s only one design and based on the Neptunia franchise. It’s too bad the scroll isn’t at least double-sided to cater towards both Neptunia andSenran Kagura fans.

With each order by purchasing the standard or limited edition item you make on Idea Factory International’s store, you’ll earn a trading card. A different card for each month, making it a clever way for customers to return to collect. Overall, this Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars Limited Edition is a fun package for both Neptunia and Senran Kagura fans.
